Abstract: Lasbecia Trilobata n.gen.,n.sp. is described on the basis of one pyritized and anatomically preserved specimen from the brandenberg formation (Upper Eifelian , Middle Devonian ) of westphalia -Germany . the primary xylem is triarch in transverse section . it consists of protoxylem and metaxylem-tracheids . the protoxylem is composed of six exarch groups situated on the distal corners of the arms (two per every arm) the primary xylem is surrounded by well developed secondary xylem.
