Abstract: The Objective of this article is to test statitically in Granger sense for the existence if cusality between government expenditure and gross domestic product in Jordan over te period 1969 to 1993 . we notic that the causality relationship as hypothesized by wagner finds some support in Jordan . This causality has a little differences . higher when the variables are expressed in nominal terms than when the variables are expressed in real terms . these results placed a little confidence in the keynesian paradigm .
